1)Introduction This essay should answer the crucial question: What makes a great president? Indeed, this is a normative question and therefore an answer will be normative as well. However, this paper should focus on two ways of answering the question, playing a kind of Machiavelli for a promising President. In some respects, they are competing, but in others they complementary. My argument will begin with the notion, that it is a following of “rules of presidency” what makes a great president.
