Prečítajte si napríklad stanovisko alebo nález Benátskej komisie, tam je to jednoznačne. Štátny jazyk treba chrániť, ale nie tak, že proti menšinovému jazyku alebo proti menšinám. Štátny jazyk vôbec teda chrániť ako taký a nie zákonom. Ale ak niekto si myslí, že treba zákon, tak potom treba tam dať konkrétne veci, ako a aký jazyk by kde kto mal používať. Ale nie proti menšinám, treba jazyk väčšiny, to znamená, štátny jazyk chrániť, menšiny to neohrozujú.
Komisia na margo ochrany jazyka menšín a ochrany štátneho jazyka hovorí v odstavci 134 toto:
"Protection
and promotion of the state language must be balanced against protection
and promotion of the linguistic rights of persons belonging to national
minorities. These rights are guaranteed and protected at the
international as well as at the national level... The obligation to use
the official language should be confined to genuine cases of public
order needs and bear a reasonable relation of proportionality; the
extent of public order need may depend on the attitude of the national
minorities. In other cases where the State deems necessary or
appropriate or desirable to ensure the use of the state language in
addition to minority languages, it should provide adequate facilities
and financial means."
