We could not find statistics which would rank high technology production as percentage share of GDP. According to statistics showing percentage of high technology manufactured exports as percent of Hungarian manufactured exports, Hungary reached 16 % in 2013 according to the World Bank data.
Accordign to Eurostat exports of high technology products as a share of total exports of Hungary was in the year 2014 14,4 %. This is, however, also different cathegory than what Viktor Orban is claiming. The statement is therefore unverifiable.
